わかりやすく伝えるには工夫がいる。キリスト教や昔の仏教は文化も言葉も違う何億という人々に伝えたのだから、コミュニケーション力の源泉だ。イエスは「見ても見ず聞いても聞かず、理解できない」人にはたとえで話した。人は実際に見ていても見たいことしか見えず、聞いていても聞きたいことしか聞こえていない。「種を蒔く人」は神の言葉でさえも良い土地に蒔かないと実を結ばないという譬えだ[1]。

マタイによる福音書

マルコによる福音書 第４章(CHAPTER 4)
